::Not looking for glamour when booking this but at least it should be clean. You first walk into the hotel through a dust tainted front door and welcomed by the smell of sweaty armpits. The staff were as helpful as they can but limited by language. The passage to the room is pathed by discoloured carpet and as you walk into the room, you see dust filled extractor fans and hairdryer. I stayed two nights, paid the remainder of my booking and rebooked another hotel to save my holiday from this misery.

::Don't stay in this hotel, it will ruin your vacation. Everything is old and the terrible smell in the bathroom just killed me. I got trauma still feel this smell. Worstes hotel I've ever stayed in.

::I am really disappointed with the hotel. It's really old and there is a smell of cigarettes when you enter. The rooms have a bad smell, our room had a problem with toilet smell and we needed to change rooms. The wifi is slow but it's ok.

::The location of the hotel is excellent and close to river and downtown area within walking distance. The main hotel entrance is very nice but I think the "nice" will end here. Room: room is a bit old and dated. (Hotel staff did clarified that the hotel is old) Window frame paint is peeling off (see picture). Bed is OK and not the most comfortable. Breakfast: breakfast area and view are overlooking the river, just beautiful. However, the breakfast is NOT worth the money. We were there at 845am and there's literally not much foods left. Most of the plates were empty and not refilled. Pity a couple came in after 9am, looking at empty serving areas, It is ashamed. It's not about the quality of the foods but just how the breakfast room was managed and served. It is not worth your money at all. Parking: parking is a bit expensive at the hotel and the partner location. I guess it is downtown area and can't complain too much. Staff: front desk staff are generally friendly. General: if you choose this hotel, it will be because it has good location. There's many restaurants and shopping within close walking distance.

::It’s location was fantastic to trip Fukuoka. It is really close from everywhere in Fukuoka downtown and clerks are really kind. Most of all, Riverview is really fantastic. I will re-select this hotel again when I come to Fukuoka again.
