::Just unreal experience. Quiet place to rest, contemplate, and rejuvenate. The kaiseki was incredible- as a vegetarian, it will likely be the best food I have during my entire trip here in Japan. They put so much effort into addressing dietary restrictions. My friend who is not vegetarian got the regular (non-vegetarian) kaiseki and also agreed it was the best food she’d had in Japan thus far. Also I genuinely felt treated like family by the staff. Note that it is not near the city (though very easy to get to by train) so, the setting welcomes and supports many small animals and insects, so the surrounding areas will have lots of that!

::We went there on a day trip for the onsen and lunch. It’s about an hour from Osaka and you can get there easily by train. It was very relaxing as the location was quiet and green. I loved the traditional atmosphere inside the hotel. The staff was super friendly and helpful. It was overall a great experience. We‘ll be back ☺️

::This Ryokan is run by a tea master who handles all of the creative decisions, which is demonstrated in the gorgeous garden and rooms. Alongside his wife who runs the business smoothly, which is demonstrated in the quality of services (spa, 24 hr onsen, and flower arranging and tea ceremony workshops etc.) paired with thorough comms throughout. The Ryokan is a stone throw away from a train station.The area has a few cafés and artisan shops scatted around. We went to q-emon, which is a café run by the tea master's sister, in a beautiful setting with plenty of greenery. Providing a quick and polite service of delicious homemade drinks, desserts and savoury dishes. Netten Inn's whole team is attentive and thoughtful in all the little things, such as providing hot and ice cold water when the bedding is prepared (guests can pick the time slot) so you can cool down after soaking in the onsen (you may enter with tattoos but you're encouraged to cover them), or wind down with a cup of tea (two types of fragrant tea are provided) before sleeping.

::Look no further: if you want a traditional ryokan experience in rural Japan that's accessible with great service and affordable luxury, you've found it. Could not recommend this place enough: delicious food, kind bilingual staff including native English speakers (shout-out to Gary). Our stay was nothing short of perfect. Pick this one.

::For many years, I have passed this beautiful ryokan on the way to a hike. Finally, we decided to come here for our 20th anniversary. What a great choice it was. We had a wonderful room overlooking the beautiful garden. Enjoyed a relaxing time with a number of soaks in the hot springs. Dinner was fantastic, with many wonderful dishes being brought to our room. I loved the nostalgic feel of the Showa-era lounge to relax in after a bath. I highly recommend a stay.
