  I experienced bad service twice, every time I go here my blood pressure rises lol They are a good pretender at first I ask them to write the kanji address for me because if I will be the one who writes the kanji it will take me too long and the staff pretend that they are not able to write for other customers 😅 then I wanted to update my bank account address because I just moved here in Kyoto but the other staff pretended he didn't know what I was talking about until I handed him the passbook 🤷🏻‍♀️ take note I can speak Japanese

  Super helpful staff despite language barrier. They were fully prepared with English language printed instructions for various services and went out of their way to explain and help complete complicated forms.

  I have been here twice and both times the workers have gone above and beyond to help me despite my limited Japanese! The second time especially on November 22,2023, one of the workers kindly helped me by walking me step-by-step through how to address the envelope properly, patiently explaining to me how many stamps were needed to ship my letter internationally, and made sure I did everything properly before I slipped it into the mail slot. Thank you to the workers here for making the experience so pleasant!

  Great! This central post of office has been built in 1902 being modern building of western architecture in ancient capital of Kyoto.
