::We visited this cute restaurant after checking out OPAM. It is located a quick walk/cycle from the museum. We arrived just as they were closing up, but when they saw our sad faces they thankfully let us have the last table! The toriten was delicious - perfectly cooked flavourful chicken with a very light crispy batter. The side of thinly sliced onions with bonito flakes were also delicious, as were the crunchy pickles! As we left the owner gave us some candies for our ongoing bike ride 🍬 Highly recommend this place, but make sure you go early as they do sell out!

::The daily special Toriten here is really delicious. The side dish miso soup is absolutely delicious. And I could eat Toriten every day. It opens from 11am, but by the time 10 minutes have passed, it's full. I understand it's a popular store.

::It's been a while since I last visited. The menu only includes daily set meals and chicken tempura set meals. It is run by a grandmother and her daughter, and can accommodate up to 19 people, with 4 seats at the table and 3 seats at the counter. You get your own water, and when you finish eating, you have to serve it yourself. The daily special on this day was fillet cutlet set meal. The chicken tempura is an easy-to-eat size, the outside is juicy and the inside is juicy, and the chicken tempura here is delicious. I arrived at 11 o'clock, so I was able to sit right away, but if it was after 12 o'clock, I would have to wait a long time. By the way, both the daily set meal and the toriten are reasonably priced at 900 yen. I visited again, and this day's daily special was chicken cutlet. The sauce on it was delicious.

::Toritenaya is located about a 15 minute walk from Oita Station. Visited around 11 o'clock on weekdays. I put it in smoothly. It was almost full as soon as it opened, so you can see how popular it is. This is a restaurant with 3 counter seats and several table seats. It was run by two friendly women. I ordered the chicken tempura set meal. The chicken tempura was an easy-to-eat size, and it was juicy, crispy, and delicious. Payment can only be made in cash. There was a space to park one car next to the store.

::This is a toritenya in Oita city. This restaurant has a delicious chicken tempura menu that has been featured on TV. The batter was crispy and the chicken was so juicy that the juices dripped out. It's just the right size, making it easy for children to eat. If you're in the area, be sure to try it! ? It is recommended!
