  Cozy coffee shop tucked away from the main road. Unfortunately there’s not a lot of choice for food here besides cake and coffee - I recommend coming here for an afternoon tea or a coffee break but if you’re looking for a meal, you’ll be left wanting more. The cafe is very small, a little old but well maintained. It’s more vintage and slightly rickety rackety than anticipated but it may appeal to some. I don’t drink coffee so I can’t comment on the quality, but the tea and cakes were fine.

  Award winning coffee in a hidden cottage, I rent a bicycle nearby the JR station to reach here. Spaces are limited here, but I like the environment settings. The coffee is well deserved reputation. I ordered a curry rice for lunch, it tasted a little bit tangy & spicy unlike the sweetened version of Japanese curry. No worries, it’s just tastes great. Wrapped up the lunch with season limited chestnut cake, happy ending

  Ordered two cake set. Chocolate cake set with dark roast coffee. Another one is cheese cake set with medium roast coffee. Dark roast coffee is my favourite thing. The flavour is balance with chocolate cake. I love it so much👍🏻👍🏻 Must have to try in Karuizawa.

  A surprisingly homely main branch of the Maruyama Coffee group. The cafe has a wonderfully warm feel, although the open fireplace would have something to do with it. There is a large variety of coffee available, although not surprisingly, the range seems less than before Covid. The coffee was brewed well, and the cakes delicious. Service was professional and helpful.

  Maruyama is a famous name in coffee culture. It’s not about the coffee made from Italian coffee machine, espresso, flat white stuff. Maruyama brings to groups of coffee lovers the true knowledge about coffee. Honey process, sun dried, washed coffee that you could find here.... Nov 6 2019: Maruyama new curry rice! Taste good and vegan friendly!
