I will never shop at Maruto Hirakubo store again.

  Since being affected by Typhoon No. 19 in 2019, I haven't been there, but the store is compact, so it's within easy reach and very easy to buy.

  This store is indispensable for residents living in Iwaki City. Having said that, I stop by here before visiting relatives and visiting graves during Obon. We carry everything from everyday household items and food to seasonal gifts and offerings. Food for daily life, especially seafood, is recommended. You can rest assured that we carry a wide range of items such as offerings and beer cases. Because it's here, you can go without any preparation beforehand.

  When I bought a block of meat, there was a reasonable chance that I would end up with one that wasn't sufficiently drained of blood. No matter what I do with it, it stinks and I feel sick when I eat it, so I try to buy block meat elsewhere. It's usually cheap and they have a good selection of products, so I go there to buy everything except raw meat.

  I used it to buy ingredients when I went on a camping trip to Natsui River Valley Campsite. It was very helpful to be able to purchase a wide variety of fresh ingredients without having to go all the way to Iwaki Station (lol).
