  I bought a pack of tomatoes for 100 yen and when I looked inside, more than half of them were rotting and bulging out from the stems. By the way, tomatoes were not a closeout item.

  When it comes to meat, I think they have a wide selection of meat compared to other Maruei restaurants and are much cheaper. However, I don't think the other products are cheap in general, and are even more expensive than the nearby supermarkets. It is located very close to Katsutate Danchi, so it is a purveyor to Katsutate Danchi residents. We hold an event called Saturday Market every Saturday, and there are quite a lot of customers at this time. The toilet is located outside. There is a point card, but it cannot be used freely for payments like Waon Points, but it has a unique system where once you accumulate 500 points, you can use it as a 500 yen gift certificate.

  There's an unfriendly staff member, but isn't this just a normal supermarket? Also, I often feel that the fish is less fresh than before, and even when I buy an assortment of sashimi, there is a slight smell, which makes me a little suspicious. (Well, that's partly because I'm personally sensitive to smells...) Vegetables are about the same as before.

  Maruei Omuta store is a fresh produce supermarket located along Prefectural Route 3, about 3.5km southeast of Omuta Station. The parking lot is very spacious and the selection is good. I could use credit cards, but I couldn't use PayPay. Maruei opened its first store, the Yokoshima store, in Tamana City in 1977, and as of February 2020, it has a total of 18 stores, mainly in the Tamana area, Kumamoto Prefecture (16 stores), and Fukuoka Prefecture (2 stores). It is expanding.
