It's the original pork bone, and it's really delicious. The prices are surprisingly low, and the restaurant fills up as soon as it opens. The ramen is simple, but the taste is great. By the way, ramen and fried rice "650 yen for small size"

It was a ramen shop that I had always wanted to go to, and I was finally able to try it. Ramen is a truly gentle pork bone salt ramen that is becoming rare in the Reiwa era. The rabbit horn soup is deeply nutritious and gentle. The noodles also go well with the soup. The pork, menma, wood ear fungus, seaweed, and a small amount of bean sprouts create a perfect balance with the soup and noodles. The half-cooked rice in the lunchtime value set has no eggs, so it's neither dry nor moist. It has a salty taste and goes well with ramen soup. Delicious and nostalgic ramen and fried rice from the Showa era can be found in Kokura. Above all, the shocking price of 560 yen for this set is truly humbling. This is a ramen shop that is crowded with local regulars. The reason I've always wanted to go there is because this restaurant has a special history in the history of Kyushu's white cloudy tonkotsu ramen. In fact, Raraiken was founded by Mr. Sugino of Kurume Yatai Sanku, the birthplace of Kurume-style cloudy tonkotsu ramen. The first ramen shop in Kyushu was Kurume's Nankin Senryo (1945), but the birthplace of Kurume-style cloudy tonkotsu soup was Katsumi Sugino's Sanku (1945). In 1951, Sanku was handed over to Mr. Shikasho, and Mr. Sugino moved to Kokura and founded Kuraiken. Yes, the name has changed, but Kokura Rairaiken is the birthplace of Kurume-style white cloudy tonkotsu ramen. When Mr. Sugino moved to Kokura, he taught his uncle Mr. Tanaka how to make ramen, and Mr. Tanaka opened Rairaiken in Hita City (1957). This shop is said to be the first ramen shop in Oita Prefecture. Incidentally, Mr. Shikasho, who took over Sanku Ramen along with its trade name, opened Sanku in Tamana City, Kumamoto Prefecture, as well as a stall in Kurume. From this store, Matsubaken, Komurasaki, Keika, and Ajisen Ramen in Kumamoto Prefecture were born. Miyazaki Ramen's Kimura is also a descendant of Sanku Tamana. It is no exaggeration to say that Sanku Kurume is the father of ramen in Kumamoto, Oita, and Miyazaki. Mr. Shikasho later opened Sanku in Saga City and gave advice on making ramen to Ikkyuken, a famous Saga ramen restaurant, and had a tremendous influence on the development of Saga ramen. I was very happy to be able to go to Kyushu Ramen's legendary restaurant. Source: Kyushu Ramen Story written by Tatsuro Hara

2023.12.14 There is a parking lot for 4 cars diagonally across the street. Ramen + fried rice 730 yen. So cheap! Creamy pork bones from Kitakyushu. Thank you for the meal!

May 2023 I came back to Kyushu and wanted to try authentic tonkotsu ramen. There is also a parking lot near the store, which is convenient. The store was full and there were no other customers waiting, but I was still waiting. The store has a large counter and table seats at the back. There are many menus posted on the walls and above the counter. Ramen is 500 yen and A set meal is 800 yen, which is very cheap. The pork bone soup is light and not too thick, but it is very delicious. You will not be asked how to boil the noodles. It's quite a large portion and I'm full. The toppings are basic tonkotsu ramen, including small pieces of chashu pork and wood ear mushrooms.

・Charshu men This ramen is famous as being run by the son of Sanku Kurume, the creator of cloudy white pork bone soup, and this seemingly simple ramen is actually incredibly delicious! As for the strain, it is best described as salt pork bone type. The intense flavor hidden in this light soup and the intense salt flavor lifted by the noodles are as amazing as ever! I was surprised at how delicious it was when I first saw it. The fact that you get the same feeling no matter when you eat it is proof that it's really delicious. The ramen made by a legend in the pork bone world was amazing! It was a feast!
