::Day onsen was decent, they had good free soap available. A little expensive for a day trip onsen, but it is also open at 5AM and very close to hiking spots near the Alps.

::Came here on two day tour vacation and really enjoyed the food. However the room had a dried stain on the tatami floor, the bathroom was a bit old and had a spiderweb. The toilet was not turned on all the way and had to ask for someone to fix it and I’m happy they did. All amenities and bed setting is done yourself. No ice machine nor coffee amenities (only from $$$ vending machine), but the hotel itself was cozy and staff were nice. For the same price perhaps a nice airbnb may be better but if u are dead-set on crab its worth it for dinner. Also wifi didn’t work at all from our room so I moved it to a 2-star rating. Wife just reminded me she was pissed… lol

::I recommend for peoples who have skiing at Hakuba resort cause it has a bus directly to this hotel. You can enjoy onsen (free), buffets at night/morning, massage chairs, small gift shop. I am interested in buffets at night, many food with good taste, they’re delicious for me. With me, not so expensive price to have all services here, I am satisfied.

::Beautiful hotel with good dinner (albeit pricey) and breakfast. Love the onsen and the tatami rooms. They even come in to set your futons for you when you are our for dinner. Great ending to the Alpine route visit!

::A big hot spring hotel in Omachi, the closest town to the Nagano end of Japanese Alpine route. It's conveniently located for those who do not want to rush to the big cities after a long journey through the Alpine route. The buffet dinner is gorgeous but breakfast is quite basic. Reasonable price for Japanese hot spring hotels with meals. My only complaint is the dated room and not so clean hot spring pools. They're spotless in Western standards but far from Japanese standard. I would recommend it for budget travelers though.
