::I wanted to try Kokuwa curry after seeing it on a local TV broadcast in Niigata City, so my wife and I went there for lunch on Sunday. I was able to eat a delicious sweet and salty curry with the sweet and sour taste of the kokuwa. I had the Shimoda pork curry with grilled Shimoda pork, but I think the grilled Shimoda pork topping can make up for more of the Shimoda pork than the pork in the Shimoda pork curry, so I recommend the Kokuwa curry with the grilled Shimoda pork!

::Absolutely exceptional place! curry tastes like heaven, never had such a sweet curry in my life! If you even happen to be in the neighborhood please try their Curry! I also had a soda and pudding, both as tasty! Edit: decided to go there also the day after to say goodbye to the lovely owner ! Thank you again for your kindness and unforgettable food ❤️

::A very lovely place to have a lunch or coffee (or both!) found by accident while having a little cycling tour in the Sanjo area. The owner is a very open and kind person (she even opened the cafe before regular opening times because she saw us)! For the food we had a curry which was so rich in taste and delicious! As a dessert we had ice cream out of local small kiwis (if I understand correctly!) and a pudding and both were just perfect for a sunny noon. Totally recommend dropping by for a lunch or coffee, it was a truly great experience 🌞

::Now 1500 yen is cheap! I've bothered you several times. This time, I visited in the evening and ordered the ``Butabuta Curry'' recommended by the owner, Mr. Yamada. The delicious "pork curry" is filled with lots of pork, and the rice is topped with thickly sliced soft and sweet roasted pork. For rice, I ordered a mix of white rice and brown rice. I was very satisfied with the meal. For dessert, I ordered an additional cheesecake and enjoyed it with three types of wild bounty sauce. The Kokuwa Soda also had a rich, sweet mountain flavor that was amazing. Currently, reservations are required. Please come by.
