::Dirty bathroom for high floor Japanese room. See pictures. Complained to the front desk but no apology and they even tried to assign a cheaper room with no mention of refund on the price difference. This level of cleanliness is really not acceptable for Japanese hotels. Wonder how did the 4.5 rating comes about

::Pretty awesome place to pay a visit with family! The meal is good, and it is so family friendly that you can enjoy the dinner and breakfast in your private room. The female owner I guess, she will come here to say hello and appreciate your staying in this hotel with so politely manner. Besides, the hot spring is clean; however, the temperature of it is a little bit too high so that kid could not join to have it for a longer period. So I guess it is better to control the temperature for two separately inside and outside hot spring. By the way, I think I need to pay 500 yen for the ices, it was so surprised to me. ::Service was the best of all hotels I have been to. Transport with warm welcome was provided between hotel and station. Room was very comfortable!

::One of the best tradition Onsen experience in Japan east. The public bath is small but not busy, the view for the outdoor onsen is good and claim. I can almost stay relax and free when bathing there. The onsen meals in-line with a higher standard than average, tasteful or not is very objective but the quality of raw food is good and fresh. Staffs are very kind and polite, and the manger lady is very kind and detail.

::This is NOT as good as I expected. The room is good and big and clean and the staffs are very kind. However, the hotel didnt provide extra towel and water. This is very weird to me that a onsen hotel do not provide extra towel to their guest. Everything need to be charged. Even when I ask the staff to help to put my sake into their fridge because the in room fridge is not cold enough, they said they cannot help. And the dinner is served one and for all. I never been to a traditional hotel in Japan will serve all the food at once before I even get into the dining room. The taste is ordinary and not as good as my expectation. Also, when I walked pass the kitchen in my room floor, I saw that all the food are already prepared… For the TV, I saw there is a Netflix button but the Tv seems no Wi-Fi so I called and ask the reception. And the reception told me the TV can only be used for TV, not for Netflix… but I managed to find the tv setting and connected it to the internet so that I can watch Netflix… again the staff is nice and kind but not really up to standard… I appreciate the traditional Japanese culture, but there still room to improve their service level… And when we check in, the reception asked what time we would like for breakfast and the opinion is 07:30, 08:00, 08:30. And when we were having breakfast, a staff came and tell us that they will be close at 09:00… I think the properties is good however the service is not up to standard and I don’t think this worth nearly 1000 USD…
