  It was a fabulous stay. This Onsen hotel may be small but the staff tried the very best to assist you. The traditional Japanese dinner and breakfast were fantastic. The Onsen was also really good - they would also allocate a private timeslot for you to enjoy some solo time.

  Wonderful onsen! Rotenburo is comfortable and relaxing with a great forest feeling.

  Very beautiful old ryokan. We got a room with a private bath that was very warm and the scene outside was nice. The bigger outdoor bath has a great view! The staff was incredibly kind and welcoming☺️

  Lovely staff, not crowded, gave us 1 free hour use of a private, cozy onsen with a window that over looks a stream, free wifi, great dinner and breakfast, free massage chairs, they offered us one free ride to wherever we wanted upon checking out, and gave us each a free bus ticket. Tucked away from the main street but easy to walk to from the Shin-Nasu bus stop. Highly recommended for a relaxing ryokan experience
