  A lovely experience. If you're looking for a traditional ryokan with modern amenities, Sora covers it. A few notes: The in room onsen only fit one person. If you want to bath privately with your partner, you'll need to rent one of their two private onsen - 2k JPY for 40 minutes, as of this writing. They offer shiatsu massage, we found it acceptable but not amazing. Their dinner and breakfast are very involved and elaborate. If you have special requests for allergies, let them know and they'll adjust. The staff was very helpful and kind. English wasn't always great, so be prepared to translate with your phone from time to time.

  Really beautiful location and nice baths. The staff were very accommodating despite our bad Japanese. However, if it's your first Ryokan, I would recommend somewhere that gets more international tourists so they'll be more prepared to walk you through some things.

  Recommend for day trips! Although the pictures mostly seem to show a single outdoor bath, there is a very nice indoor area as well with a sauna and everything. Water quality is excellent and there’s a pleasant garden out back.

  This is an excellent onsen resort. The room is in traditional Japanese style and it’s very spacious. There are two onsens and both of them are outdoor and they are big enough. The breakfast and dinner are in traditional Japanese style and they are delicious. Yet you have to spare like 1.5hour for each meal cause they will give you your food in several turns. They have a huge zen garden too and it’s also very photogenic.
