  Food was nice, but the stuff and services weren't as good or professional as other ryokans considering what I paid for. In Japan, there are some brilliant ryokans out there, which give you great qualities, atmosphere and services. They are normally less expensive than this place. NEVER AGAIN because the water was leaking to my room's outside bath from the outside bath above and I complained it, but never got any apologies from any stuff who acted it was usual. SHAME

  Beautiful boutique hotel in a secluded area with top notch service, amazing food, a destination on its own.

  Extremely low service for the price you’re supposed to pay. (180K jpy) Eventually I had to cancel my reservation because they wouldn’t provide with a vegetarian food option (they don’t accept any change to their menu apparently because it’s extra job for them) and rudely asked me to cancel my booking. (Yes that was the first and only email they sent me) Once I talked with the general manager over the phone, he was even more rude that’s when I thought it was enough. Funny how a supposedly“luxury” ryokan can’t provide a luxury service. Well good luck once you have international tourist back. [not even 1 star]

  The room is a modern building, open design. Private open-air bath is the hotel, I can very relaxing. Meals are healthy and delicious, I was impressed. Also I think you want a visit.

  This is place is magical. Nestled in the mountains of Izu rooms with private onsen overlooking the river. Nice rooms, good service and the wonderful Arcana restaurant serving exquisite French cuisine prepared by some of the most meticulous Japanese chefs I have ever seen. Quiet and restful place. A slice of heaven on earth.
