::This hotel can’t reach 3 stars. Absolutely feckless reception and poor breakfast. Very noisy at night and dusty rooms.

::Though the room and bathroom are spacious, they are not sound proof. You can hear the flushing of toilet from other rooms, whey they used shower and talked. Breakfast is just so so, better not to book a room without breakfast. Location is great - 50m away from JR Hakata station, surrounded by restaurants of all kinds, 50m away from Yodobashi, and 50m away from malls ( like AMU, Hankyu )

::We went in a large group but I had my own single room for 3 nights and it was perfect for a city stay! Great location for shopping at the nearby stores / hopping on trains and eat out at one of the many restaurants there or buying super delicious supermarket food to eat in the room. The room was perfect size for one. Bathroom was super clean and new. It even has a mini bathtub. Only on the first night that I can smell the BBQ from the restaurant downstairs up in the bedroom. The other 2 nights it was gone. There's also a view to the street from the room I was at. The staff was super helpful and while it was difficult to do, he had managed to call for 3 taxis to pick us up at the hotel to go to the airport - it was a Saturday though so maybe it was easier because of that. also there were 7 of us including elderly people and loads of luggage so we really appreciated him for enabling that. If you are able to walk with your luggage then the station is only about a 10 mins walk from the hotel and there's a taxi stand right outside the station with plenty of taxis all the time. Overall, totally recommenced. Ps. No need to bring shower gels and shampoo, the hotels here have them!

::Few steps from Hakata Station. There is a family mart beside it and yodobashi Camera. Clean rooms, a bit small but typical room size in japan. Coffee, tea and toiletries get all you can at the lobby. Courteous staff.

::Hotel Century Art Hakata Station, Fukuoka LOCATION: only 120m from Jr Hakata Station back exit. It is surrounded by restaurants and convenience stores. Our flight arrived at 9pm but we were able to find the hotel right away and eat late night dinner at a restaurant nearby. Most of these stores close at 10pm though. FEES: Hotel charges 400Y hotel tax, same with all hotels in the prefecture. They give complete personal care amenities you choose from at the desk beside the elevator. Checkout is 10am though, a little early for a late night checkin like ours. Staff were very friendly and helpful. WiFi: strong connectivity in all rooms. #japanhotel #travellentures #japan #fukuoka #fukuokahotel
