  On August 30, 2024, my wife brought me here after 9pm. Having driven for over two hours from New Chitose, my wife ordered quite a lot. When we paid we found our meal great value for money.

  The worst bbq restaurant I have ever visited in Hokkaido 😅 the ventilation system is bad, no individual hood. The whole hall is covered by smoke. You can try crying and eating at the same time. And the bbq is using gas.

  The price was very reasonable and the meat marinated in sauce was appetizing and delicious! The employees were polite and courteous.

  Heiwaen is a great restaurant in Obihiro with unbeatable prices for the amount of food you get. The service is quick and efficient, and they have half-sized portions available. I tried the Heiwaen Galbi which was flavorful and filling, and also had the lamb set which came with rice, salad, and soup for less than 1000 yen. The restaurant is always busy, but they'll call you when your table is ready if you don't have a reservation. I can't wait to visit again and apparently they have a location in Sapporo. Tip: don’t wear your best clothes here. The tables here get very smoky so you’ll leave smelling like BBQ.
