::If u want sth Japanese , quick, traditional and simple to prepare ur Onsen dinner , here is the choice ! It is run by few old polite and helpful ladies. I like the interior 💕 it is clean , very traditional jap style . The sceneries outside is very beautiful too, next to the river and bridge. You need to arrive 11am for the lunch, otherwise queue up and waiting are necessary 😅

::Recommended by our hotel staffs (Aura Tachibana) and came after we dropped off our bags. There was a queue of about 8 people, though it was our turn very quickly in 10mins. We ordered the cold soba with tempura and it was OISHI, together with their draft beer - Kirin. It was so good that we ordered another cold soba to share. Although our ryokan has breakfast and dinner, we will be here for lunch/tea break.

::Nice comfy soba spot. There is a bit of a wait, though. But the view by the river is amazing. They accept credit card (but no metal cards) and have an english menu too. Definitely recommend!

::We were staying nearby so we visited around 10 and it was almost full. It's all the grannies working so you can expect it to be good. There's an English menu so it's easy to order. We ordered the oyaku, tori and wild vegetable soba and each one of them was flavourful, umami rich and delicious. Special mention to the wild vegetable soba, there were fiddlehead ferns, mushroom, bamboo shoots and each one of them was naturally sweet. Totally would recommend it if you are in Hakone.
