  A little square selling all kinds of snacks leading to the railway platform. There is a coin locker in one corner.

  This area is very popular with local people who like to dress up and visit, to walk in the bamboo forest, or take a rickshaw ride. It was very busy when we visited. It reminded me a bit of a busy British seaside resort ( although by a river). Huge number of shrines, places to see, and places to eat. Take the little purple train from Kyoto.

  Good selection of souvenir. I give 5 stars because the service was very nice!
