  Seems like this place is dying and the company has gotten over commercialized. Not worth the trip here at all.

  I visited Hanabatake Farm in mid-September. I had cheese curry at noon. It was delicious. I bought raw caramel as a souvenir. I would like to go to Hokkaido when covid-19 calms down.

  As I understand it, this farm about 20 years ago was the site of training for an idol group called Country Musume, part of Hello! Project which is now one of the biggest singing idol groups in Japan. It was to this farm for a training session that member Yanagihara Hiromi was driving (July 1999) when she had a fatal car accident. I wonder if there is any mention of this nowawdays at the farm or any acknowledgment that the farm had this past association?

  Charming farm. Specialty cheese. Restaurant serve pizza , pasta, ice cream. Also Butadon 1300yen. Free Farm show at 11am & 1pm. Gift shop : a variety of flavored popcorn etc
