  I went to a soba restaurant that caught my eye! There are a lot of soba restaurants in Fukui, so even if you check them on Google Maps, you won't have a chance to go there. When the Obon holidays are over and you're feeling tired from the summer, it's good to have a meal that's easy to eat like soba 😋 When I arrived before 12:00, there was already a line outside the store... There is no such thing as a reception note, and if you wait in line, a staff member will come out and ask you questions in turn. You will be given a menu at that time, so it feels like you have decided on it in advance. There are four types of menu: zaru soba, grated soba, yamakake soba, and kake soba. Kake soba is warm soba. Since each portion is small, many people order two cups, such as a zaru and a yamakake. It was my first time visiting the store, and I ordered grated and yamakake. Eating 2 cups is quite satisfying. One cup is enough for people who eat little. But it's delicious soba, so I'd like you to try two types of it 🤭 One more restaurant has been added to the list of delicious soba restaurants!

  The Oroshi Soba was mild and a little sweet; during the winter/colder season, the shop uses the sweeter part of the Japanese daikon, while the spicier part is used during the summer/warmer season. As of this time, only take-out available. There is some outdoor seating nearby, or you can eat in your car.

  Yamakake soba was delicious! Oroshi soba is also great, more balanced and sweeter (in a good way) than Nomuraya.

  This is a pure Soba place with a small menu of hot / cold or cold with raw egg and mashed potatoes. There is a warning sign that they only do Soba and no kids chair and minimal table service, and they are right about that! Noodle are delicious, so is the tea. However it is quite plain.
