::love this place!!! masa, one of the staff, was kind and welcoming, and had an extensive conversation about our cultures and differences. he’s fluent in english, but we also communicated in japanese and he was very keen for a chat. the room itself was lovely, the only downside i had about it was the smell of some of the other travellers but that really can’t be helped (not their fault at all!) the facilities were kept clean and tidy, and the lounge area was chill and cozy. fantastic place kept by fantastic people. will be back soon! またね!

::A guesthouse to feel home, slow down and enjoy every moment. Kamejikan is located in the more quiet neighborhood of Zaimokuza, and is only a 5-min walk from the beach. It is from this side of Kamakura seaside that you can see Fujisan! I highly recommend this guesthouse which has private as well as shared rooms. Please enjoy & rest well.

::My friends and I had a lovely stay here, we regretted booking only one night as it would have been nice to spend an extra evening curled by the hearth with a book. Hosts offered great recommendations and let us leave our luggage in the lobby the next day while we did some sightseeing. I hope to return again in the future.

::This is a lovely guest house and one of my favorite places I’ve stayed in Japan. The staff were wonderful and very kind and helpful (their English is good too). The private room was excellent, although you might need to do some Tetris to get the futons to fit on the floor! The breakfast in the morning was delicious. I would love to stay here again!

::The place is too rundown to be kept clean. There are mold in the corners of the room. I kept sneezing and had to keep the window fully open through the night. Ants crawl in the shower room. People are confused with the slippers and wore them into the toilets or barefoot sectors. The walls are thin and rooms separated by thin sliding door. You could hear people flushing the toilet and having trouble opening the sliding door of the shower stall. The staff and the other guests were very friendly. The overall atmosphere was good. I wish the owner has the capacity to renovate the place to make it cleaner.
