::I don't know why the hotel score in google is so low (3.8 star) when i write this review. The room was quite spacious. Hotel staffs are very friendly. They also have an onsen inside the hotel. The breakfast has a lot of varieties and the taste was very good. I have to say, just for the bf alone, the hotel deserve 5 star. The view also nice. The only negative thing i can think of is the hotel seems to be quite old

::this haven't fully adapted to the Accor brand yet, but the scenery is really nice. The view of the lake and yachts in the morning is enough to make you not have to go all the way to America.

::Enjoyed a lovely weekend stay at the Mercure. From check in check out the team were all amazing - great friendly service at all times. Nice clean comfortable rooms well appointed. Gift shop, Onsen, table tennis, lounge and more to enjoy. Great location by the lake with nice park next door for walking.

::What an amazing experience! The view and situation is great, by Biwa lake just across the Nagahama castle. The spa is fantastic! So relaxing and luxurious. They have special drinks at night. The lounge in the lobby is very generous drink wise but the snacks are only sweets. The nightcap lounge is for spirits. The variety was outstanding. The breakfast buffet was the best we ever had in Japan! So much variety and dishes not seen in other buffets. Everything is so fresh and high quality. The view over Biwa lake is the cherry on top.

::Large lobby, check in a bit slow due to grand opening. All room type with free lounge access on G/F, unlimited beer and wine, lake view is particularly nice. Japanese style room is a bit old school, doesn’t affect our stay though. Onsen is relatively small in such a large hotel BEWARE! Booking on Agoda. I have already paid for the stay through Agoda, however, they asked me to pay again during check out!! Spent half an hour to negotiate with that, wasting my time 2024.04.02
