::I have been skiing many places in Hokkaido but Furano is the worst. I don't mean it's snow and facilities, they are quite good, but the management of the resort is terrible. They have been keeping a few lifts closed including the few on the top of the mountain until very end of year, with so many travellers coming from all over the world to spend the year end holidays! They should change the whole team of the resort management. Unbelievable, totally waste of the great nature of the mountain!

::This hotel more for those who like to ski as you can rent ski equipment at the hotel. We just stayed at this hotel for one night as a stopover to our next destination. The check in process was a bit slow as the staff member was a Trainee and a member of our group also wanted to see if could change to the New Prince Hotel and then changed their mind as it turned out to be not a good option . The staff member states calm and was professional. We decided to check with the Bell Captain who was a Trainee also the shuttle bus time to the New Prince Hotel. They advised that the shuttle bus came at 6:30pm but when asked them another time they raised their voice and sounded annoyed and said wait the outside bus stop. We then went back to reception to ask them the time and the staff member came over to the Bell Captain and found out that they did not realise that there was an extra time table. The Bell Captain was not professional in his dealings with us so they should be given more training. The other interesting thing about this hotel is that you get an actual key to your room . You could forget to lock the door as might think it does it automatically, but you have to lock it manually. The room was compact and not much room for your luggage and the bathroom was even more compact with just enough room to move. The bathtub had a curtain to close the tub so as not to splash water on the floor. The curtain told you the age of the hotel as curtain are not used much these days. The one thing that made up for the room was the view which was awe inspiring. The hotel is also far from the town so you had to get a taxi or bus if you wanted to go anywhere. I would only go to this hotel if you enjoy skiing.

::Perfect to ski in ski out. Elegant hotel, love the roof line and shape of the main building. Views from the restaurant as well as our room in the block building were gorgeous. The hallway carpets do need replacement. Staff were all impeccably professional and helpful.

::Hotel very convenient for the ski-slopes (ski in, ski out), good buffet dinner and breakfast but no bar area. Bathrooms small but communal baths are good. Reasonably sized rooms ( but only twin beds) but limited hanging space.

::There are two Prince hotels in Furano. This is the older one, pretty dated with small rooms, but reasonably well maintained. The main selling point is cost performance. Cheap stay with available lift packages plus ski in, ski out availability make this a good deal. Dinner buffet is reasonable, but have to watch pretty high beer prices if ordering alcohol on the side. Walls between rooms are pretty thin, but most skiers go to bed early so that hasn't been a problem for us.
