However, the old lady clerk at the eastmost cash register was chatting with a customer who seemed to be an acquaintance while working the cash register. Another customer in line couldn't see it and went to another cash register. I guess younger employees wouldn't be able to pay attention to a store clerk like that. Wouldn't it be better to work properly without getting too familiar?
