  easy place to grab a bite. good for english speakers as there’s an english menu and it’s easy to navigate. read the menu and find the number then use the machine to enter in money and select what you want. you give the ticket to the lady at the counter. it’s a good place if you’re looking for something in a pinch. not a ton of seating in there so not great for big groups or if you’re looking for an aesthetic sit down. staff are friendly though and it was a good value for what you got

  Multiple people helped us to navigate the vending machine which was in Japanese. My udon with tempura was under $3 US. Very simple and delicious. My husband got the beef which came with sweet onions and mushrooms. Great, simple and cheap food after walking the castle.

  Food tasted really good. We were surprised by the serving size because of how affordable it was.

  This small restaurant has been around since 1949 in this area. The picture below shows the package meals of Unagi (Eel) and the famous Ekisoba. English menu is available through the ordering machine but this place is cash only.
