::Went on a weekday mid nov. Queued quite a bit in the cold. We were seated indoors. To queue, write your name/ no of pax and wait outside the restaurant. The restaurant has limited tables but the food is great. May want to call to reserve. It seems that they are not open in dec 2023. Do call to check before going.

::Best beef stew i’ve had. Don’t know what the others are eating. Be prepared to be teleported into the french alps in the middle of a cold winter, fed with a hearty bowl of boeuf. Interior looks like a Austrian hut, exterior is a copy of Sylvania family house :)

::The food was okay, but the atmosphere was bad. Too many bugs and flies around and they did not turn on the AC in a super hot summer day! The beef stew set is ¥1500 which is pretty good comparing to its portion. The taste was okay.

::Tucked away in the farmlands of Biei. Amazing place for a warm bowl of beef stew and potato gratin made from the specialty of Biei- Biei potatoes.

::Do not be fooled by the simple appearance of the cuisines here; Came for a hearty bowl of stew, and went away with so much more than expected. Beef stew was extremely fragrant and homely, with the chunky yet tender bits of beef to savour! Curry rice looked simple, but the gentle sweetness of the curry flowed melodiously with the unique tastiness of Biei Potatoes, blending oh so well with the soft Japanese rice. Definitely a must visit hidden gem of Biei!
