::This may be the most famous soba restaurant in Chichibu. This was my first visit, and I arrived 15 minutes before opening, and I was number 9 on the list. I entered the store on my first visit, and my wife and I ordered tenzaru for 1,500 yen (tax included), miso oden for 380 yen, and miso potato for 400 yen. In recent reviews, there are some low ratings, but to be honest, I thought it was a great restaurant. ā I am very satisfied with the contents of Tenzaru. Freshly fried, crispy tempura and plenty of soba noodles ā”The staff was polite and I had a very pleasant meal. ā¢ Surprisingly fast rotation Even if there is a line, the customer turnover is quick so you don't have to wait long. ā£The atmosphere of an old folk house built over 140 years ago The walnut shop next door also had an attractive selection of products, and my wife also bought some. I recommend it with confidence! (Revisited in August 2020) The store opened earlier than usual at 10:40, probably because it was Sunday. This time I asked for a window seat and it was still the same. I ordered tempura and added miso potatoes and inari sushi for 280 yen. The inari sushi was delicious, and once again, I was satisfied with the amount of tempura and the satisfying taste of the tempura. Although it is a little far from the city center, I feel that it is definitely a store that can be included in your Chichibu sightseeing itinerary.

::Even though it was a rainy weekday, I was 6th in line at a little after 12:00. The parking lot can accommodate about 25 cars on both sides of the road. It's basically a tatami room, but if you're alone, you may have to share a seat. There are three tables for two on the veranda. The important soba noodles were thin and had a firm texture to my liking. I think the amount is quite large. I'm someone who eats a lot, but I made the right decision not to make it a huge portion. The custom-made miso potatoes are 6 to 7 large-cut fried potatoes. It was delicious with the sweet miso. I shared it with my daughter and got full with the Tenmori Soba. There is a repeat. It was a feast.

::Delicious soba noodles shop with a unique history. Pretty far from central Okutama and always busy. The queue seem intimidating but wonāt be disappointing.

::Great place to enjoy your lunch. The food is good and they agreed to remove fish from the tempura soba and make it vegetarian. The place is quite popular so if you go during the peak hours, you might feel it's crowded. But it's still not noisy. Definitely recommended.
