At the dentists I have treated before, my teeth were ground down to the extent that I thought my teeth would be lost (when it came to treating cavities), and it was painful, but Dr. Akiyama did his best to cut down my teeth. It seems that they are trying to leave it alone, and the proof is that it doesn't look painful. The woman at the reception desk was friendly and cheerful, even though I was an elderly person (67 years old at the time), and I felt very welcome, and I am grateful that Akiyama Dental Clinic does not make me visit the hospital indefinitely for care. OP, you posted that the X-rays were handled by an unqualified person, but as far as I can see, the doctor took them, so I'll let you know.
