  My stay at this tranquil onsen hotel was truly delightful. From the moment I arrived, the service was excellent, with a warm greeting that set the tone for the rest of my visit. The food variety was good, though there's room for improvement in that area. However, the selection of sake and drinks was superb, perfect for indulging in while enjoying the serene atmosphere. The highlight of this hotel is undoubtedly its onsen facilities. Having both an outdoor and indoor onsen allowed me to fully immerse myself in the rejuvenating experience. The wooden houses, which are a signature of the hotel, added to the authentic and peaceful ambiance. Everything about my stay was perfect, down to the heated mat under the dining table, which kept my feet comfortably warm during meals. This hotel is an ideal destination for those seeking a truly relaxing and indulgent holiday experience. Thank you so much Sho San!

  Lovely stay at a nice ryokan, for one night. Quiet and luxurious. It’s not so convenient to walk, but located a 5 min drive from Yufuin station and they provide transport to and fro~ When I arrived, I was surprised by the hospitality and service, a number of staff came out to greet us and help with the luggages! We stayed in the Yamazakura room, which was spacious and lovely. Every room has 3 private onsens (1 indoor, 2 outdoor) with nice view. The ryokan has a larger onsen which is shared amongst guests but its semi-private. You can lock the access door and on the signal that it’s occupied when you are using, the view is best here~ The food was great too. I think I gained weight! We ate like a king for dinner! So many courses were served and all premium ingredients. So full by the end! Breakfast was lighter but still yummy too. All served to your room :) Overall, enjoyed the stay here and would recommend it. Pricey but worth the stay. Huge food spread served, big rooms, lovely views, quiet space away from city. Good for couples or families~

  We had a bit of trouble finding the hotel as there was another, accommodation nearer down the hill. However we were guided by that accommodation to drive further up and were greeted warmly by the staff who helped bring our luggage into the ryokan and also drove our car to park on our behalf. Amazing hospitality from the bosses and staff! Some of their staff could speak English and Mandarin so no issues for international tourists staying here. When seeing someone in our group having difficulty walking, they immediately helped to hold them steady during the walk to the room and provided a higher and studier chair than the usual Japanese chair for ease for sitting. Two thumbs up for the attentiveness. Room was great, nice and warm with the aircon working well. Absolutely clean including the two private hot springs in our own room. Would recommend anyone interested in a ryokan experience to come here!

  We got the room with 2 external and 1 internal onsen with a view of the city. Was fantastic and we could lower the temperature of the onsen to better suit our 4 yo daughter. Food was unbelievable too and they were so accommodating with our dietary requirements and early breakfast request. Amazing experience and highly highly recommended!

  Breakfast and dinner are beautiful and delicious. Boss and workers of the hotel is very very nice. 3 onsens in the house can choose, all are clean and powerful They and pick you up and send you back to station. Lights, television, toilet , bathroom, massage chair etc. all are new version. They provide Nice face wash, lotion, conditioner, etc. Doggy, kuro, is very cute Boss will take a picture and print out for you when you leave, he has a good photo shooting skill. I will come again for sure:D
