::On April 9, 2024, my wife and I checked in here. We were surprised that we had to grab our luggage up via the staircases to reach a stack of escalators a floor up before we could take the lift to our room upstairs. Entering the room, I was disappointed to see wear and tear of old furnishings. When we dined, we thought what we had wasn’t bad. The public baths were relatively spacious. When we went the next morning, we saw periodic waterfalls on rock fascade - our first such experience having been to dozens of onsens in Japan. After a simple but nice breakfast, we had free self-service coffees near the reception. Having checked out at 10:am, we continued to shop souvenirs including ceramics in a store by the exit. We were the store’s last customers in the morning. While we used the toilets before hitting the road again, a group of staff waited for us to finish our business to bid us farewell. We were very impressed with their service and enjoyed our stay here after all!

::the resort is a bit far from the ceramic village if on foot, but resort have shuttle bus run between two places. lobby and rooms are separate by stairs, escalators and lift, so it is a bit trouble if you are with suitcase. rooms are spacey, onsen is good.
