::The first time I visited was in the 2000s, when I was on a walking pilgrimage. After completing the 23rd stop at Yakuoji Temple in Awa Province, it was time to walk on the long road to Muroto. We had ``Yakuyoke Udon'' here for lunch, and that day we went to Hajikko Shishikui in Awa Province. Since then, whenever I come to this area and time allows, I feel nostalgic for ``Yakuyoke Udon'' and stop by. ``Yakuyoke Udon'' is a delicious udon with shrimp tempura, grilled rice cake, and wakame seaweed that gave me energy for my walking pilgrimage. Of course, it's delicious even if you don't walk! The oden, yuzu-flavored chirashi, and inari sushi are so delicious that you can't help but eat them all.

::There is an English menu. I ordered and ate zaru udon and tofu sushi. Udon has no sweet taste at all. Udon noodles are very chewy. Tofu sushi is slightly sweet and delicious. Very friendly.

::20240303 Sun Noon Cash payment only. Customer service is good. This udon restaurant can be seen from the large parking lot of Yakuoji Temple. It's been around for a long time, and you've probably been here before. I ordered yakuyoke udon for 780 yen and yuzu chirashi for 300 yen. As a temple town, it's good to have a menu named after the medicine prince. The udon had a nostalgic taste and was delicious with shrimp tempura, grilled mochi, and wakame seaweed. Yuzu chirashi also contains sweet beans (red kidney beans), typical of Tokushima chirashi, so travelers can enjoy the local cuisine. *I shared half of the yuzu chirashi on a separate plate before taking the photo.

::Quick, cheap udon noodle dishes without a lot of frills or gimmicks. Would have liked more cold options since it was in the 90s, but the yuzu rice was pretty refreshing, too.
