  Very beautiful and peaceful place. They were doing construction before an event so there was scaffolding, but even that was pretty. Inside the museum is a nice gift shop and a pretty public toilet. Quick note, if you want to take a photo of the shrine, take it from the side near the gravel (or the guard will politely remind you).

  Beautiful shrine and bigger than I expected. The museum is worth visiting especially if you have interest in 20th and 19th century history. There is somewhat of a spin on some of the history but it is interesting nonetheless. Recommend if you can fit it in.

  It's complicated to give comment to this place. Scenery speaking, it's beautiful. One has to know history to visit this place. The museum offers the birth of Meiji Era to the invasion to Asian countries from the perspective of Japan. One may not know the whole picture. Yet, it's a place to visit.

  The shrine itself is nice but as it is connected to politics, nationalism and war it's not easy to enjoy the relaxing and peaceful atmosphere of the other shinto shrines.

  Just few minutes walk from Kudanshita station. The garden inside and the koi fishes are beautiful. The cherry blossom also very beautiful at Spring Time, but you have to endure the crowd. There is a tea house inside, but it was closed when I go there. There's also a military museum, but I haven't had the chance to enjoy the museum.
