::Being kinda far out is kinda the point, so no complaints about the drive. Enjoyed the spa.

::| NOT TATTOO FRIENDLY | Very nice hotel and it was a relatively scenic drive up. I was really excited to visit and try the onsen here since the staff was friendly and helpful. Sadly, I came for the onsen and was denied entry after I paid and prepared to go in. They saw that I have tattoos so they politely told me I was not able to enter the onsen because of that. After I got dressed they happily gave me my money back. It seemed like a really nice onsen with a great view so I would recommend it to someone who does not have tattoos

::Perfect escape for a day off. The private onsen with a mountain view... I could have stayed all day. Lunch was delicious as well! The people working there do not speak English, or rather, my Japanese is weak but they were extremely helpful.

::The place is conveniently located 30 mins from Sasebo city center that offers peaceful mountain views. The hot spring baths are very affordable as well as the delicious food offered. Coin lockers are available for personal belongings. Towels and hygiene products are available for purchase if guests forgot to bring their own. The hot spring baths and restaurant are open to both hotel-staying guests and day-visitors alike.

::From the outside it looks like a nondescript building with ample parking lots. Believe you me it has plentiful of hidden gems. Once you step into the building you will notice the wide expanse of space. The staff are friendly and helpful. There are segregated baths both indoor and outdoor with good quality natural hotspring water. The outdoor onsen overlooks a valley and mountains. Beautiful! There are 4 baths each with different water temperature in the indoor onsen. The changing area is comfortable with hair dryers and weighing machine. Toiletries are provided and available for sale as well. There are plentiful of free lockers for footwear, valuables and refundable coin operated lockers. A sauna is available for use as well. There are two restaurants. The one nearer to the public baths offers a package deal of ¥900 for both the bath and a bowl of udon. Yummy! Green tea and cold water are on the house. Nice! The prices of the dishes are reasonable. There are also plentiful of local produce for sale in the hotel from hats, to toiletries and local foodstuff. This Sasebo Sechibaru Onsen is popular with the locals. 👍
