  Pleasant cheap hotel with a fair location, local restaurants near by, staff are friendly but speak limited English, facility's good and free self serve washing machine, free drinks, tea coffee and selection of soft drinks in reception breakfast area. Rooms are quite small but comfortable. Can be difficult to find, local tourist bus does a circular cost about 200jpy and drop you about 3-5 mins walk. The tourist bus is a different color than the rest with a yellow leaf type logo it is free with a JR pass hop and go all day useful for sightseeing.

  Loved the shower only room. Great FREE laundry which when traveling light in Japan is essential. Would definitely stay again. Was a lovely walk to the castle and the historical sites. Shopping not too far away. Convenience stores just outside the door. The free drinks are great during the day, and along with a convenny dinner. Breakfast was fine, typically Japanese buffet and since it is free, that is great. The only issue was elevator, which had to stop and open on 2 everytime, since the reception is there. This slowed the process for everyone using them, and thanks to those who would just get out at 2 and walk down to 1. Should be 4.5 but google does not do that.

  Rooms are small but comfortable. Free easy to use laundry equipment was a lifesaver for us and sheet with recomended restaurants pointed us towards one of the best meals during our stay in Japan. I have nothing to complain about.

  We booked through a booking website and somehow instead of a non-smoking room, it requested a smoking room (even though we would have selected a non-smoking room). We didn't realize this until we walked into the room which smelled of cigarette smoke. We tried to change rooms with the concierge but a non-smoking room would have been an extra 6500 yen (about $85 CAD). So we stayed in our smoking room and tried to air it out. Other than that the hotel was great. We left our luggage with them so we could see the city before check in. The toiletries provided were great. The bed was cozy. Our room had a fridge and kettle. The room was clean. There were some electric bikes for rent, but we didn't use them. There was also a bath room on the main floor, but we didn't use it either. The included breakfast had a good selection of Japanese style dishes in a buffet style. I would recommend staying here!

  Great service from the hotel staff. They helped us fill out shipping forms to send our luggage to our next hotel. I doubt I could figured it out on my own. Breakfast was great and they had free drinks available anytime. The room was nice and the housekeepers did a great job refreshing the room.
