::Ueno and Okachimachi area is full of nice places to go to drink and eat but naturally you have to enter and order something unless you buy from street vendors. Here is the basement of Marui, it is sort of a Depa Chika, famous at other major high end department stores for the gourmet offerings. Ueno Marui has a more popular version of the choices and has some counter seats where you can buy and sit down to rest and eat/drink. Many good choices. They have a Starbucks at the entrance from the subway, but suggest you to go in where you have two other coffee shops with also excellent coffee.

::Large shopping area. Shops and venders of all kinds. Public restrooms available and easy to locate, also very clean. Can be crowded after business hours and especially Sundays but there are more than enough staff to handle it as well as plenty of room for the Influx of extra foot traffic. Great place to bring your family for a day of shopping as well as a great place to shop and browse by yourself. English speaking employees at most shops. Easy to navigate. Many places to eat or grab a quick bite or snack located all around. Subway station nearby as well as places to catch a bus or taxi. Large public park and zoo within walking distance
