::Chichitoko and her family went to Hyozuki Minami-Takai branch! Hyozuki Minami-Takai branch, located in Minami-Takai-cho, Matsuyama City, is a famous restaurant that serves exquisite udon noodles that are loved by the locals. Conveniently located about 8 minutes by car from Takanoko Station, you can enjoy a relaxing meal with your family in the restaurant's calm atmosphere. It was a hot day this time, so I ordered the famous "Hiyahiya Udon". The cold noodles and cold soup stock are a perfect match, and you will be impressed by the smooth texture and deep flavor! The chewy homemade noodles have an irresistible smooth texture. My son was also very happy, saying, "It's cold and delicious!" I also added "Oinari" to the side menu. The sweet and spicy stewed fried tofu was stuffed with just the right amount of sour sushi rice, which went perfectly with the hiyahiya udon. The moist texture that can only be achieved by handmade food is also exquisite. Furthermore, although it was out of season, I also ordered "Oden". It has an elegant taste with the flavor of dashi. The ingredients such as daikon radish, beef tendon, and egg were soaked in flavor and left me with a heartwarming feeling. The prices are reasonable, and the portions are perfect. This restaurant is recommended for both locals and tourists, where you can enjoy a relaxing meal with your family. When you visit Matsuyama, be sure to stop by Hyozuki Minami-Takai and enjoy delicious seasonal udon and side dishes.

::These udon noodles are chewy and slightly firm. Although it is hard, it is chewy and goes down well. Tempura 🍤 is also crispy. I bought frozen nabeyaki udon on the way home. It’s great to be able to eat it at home 🤤 During the meal, I noticed that an elderly woman from the kitchen was speaking harshly to a young part-time worker in the hall.

::Anyway, the noodles are excellent. It's so delicious! The tempura is also crispy. The soup has a good dashi flavor as well. Slightly sweet. Both photos are large. Chilled shrimp tempura and vegetable tempura. Really beautiful♪

::This is a full-service udon restaurant with two locations in Matsuyama City, Ehime Prefecture, and this one is a little further away from the center of Matsuyama City. I ordered greedy udon. There were no pre-made noodles, and since I visited at a strange time after peak hours, it took about 10 minutes due to the hot water. However, personally, I'd rather eat freshly-boiled, delicious noodles even if it takes a long time, than soggy noodles that have lost their elasticity because they're pre-made. As the name suggests, greedy udon is a type of udon with lots of toppings, including shrimp tempura and meat. Not only are the ingredients delicious, but the noodles and soup stock themselves are also very good. The noodles have just the right amount of elasticity, firmness, and go down well. The taste of the soup stock was very soft, mild and delicious. Is it the main dashi soup for bushi? I noticed that the staff were chatting with each other, perhaps because it was past the peak lunchtime and the staff were taking a break. Also, although the price is high, the amount of noodles is small, so the cost performance is not very good.
