  Wonderful little cafe not far from the Kakunodate samurai residences, and open until later in the evening. Delicious coffee and small bites to enjoy. It's a great way to relax after a day of walking through the town, especially if you booked a shinkansen departure for later than you ought to! It's delightful to see regular patrons enjoying themselves and chatting with the staff. Makes you feel like it's a really special local place.

  Incredible aesthetic experience being here. The food & drink is all made right in front of you. Delicious! Peaceful, calm kind energy pervades the space. I didn’t want to leave.

  Delightful. Friendly. Great tea and coffee. Small bites also available. A bit hidden along a corridor - just go in!

  The café was delicious and the owner/staff were so kind and welcoming, this was a great place to rest my tired legs. I’m truly grateful for their hospitality and they are the perfect example of why coffee culture in Japan is one of the best in the world. I’m so grateful that I found this place!

  This place is located at the end of a hallway whose entrance is right in front of the street. The coffee is hand poured right in front of you and it's truly delicious. I got the cheesecake (New York style) and it was very good. Unfortunately, the menu is only in Japanese and Google Translate-san has a hard time with it (handwritten). The other deserts offered there looked really good, but unfortunately I have no idea what they are called. The owner is very kind, and tries hard to understand you even though there is a language gap. The location itself is small (probably 10 people max will fit in the cafe) but the quaint atmosphere makes up for it. It seems like a favorite with the locals and can fill up fast. I cannot recommend this place enough, just make sure you are respectful and quiet, as the location is rather small.
