  I was hospitalized for about 10 days following surgery for my herniated lumbar disc. The surgeon and surgical staff were cheerful and friendly, really putting me at ease. The nurses who cared for me were patient and kind, even though I could only speak a little Japanese. The physical therapist was also awesome! She could speak English with me and really helped me understand how to move my body without pain following surgery. This hospital also has great interpreters for foreign patients. The only downside was the shared bedroom was SO hot during August. I was very nervous before my hospitalization, but overall had a good experience. :)
