::I came from Ibaraki. When you come to Niigata Prefecture, you can't miss Tare Katsudon. It was my first time visiting this restaurant, and not only the cutlet but also the rice was very delicious ♪(^o^) The sauce went perfectly with the rice, creating a flavor that you could eat as much as you want. ::It goes without saying that tonkatsu is delicious. That's how I think. Whether it's a chain restaurant or home-made tonkatsu, you can't go wrong. That's why, When you come across a tonkatsu restaurant that has over-the-top deliciousness, you will be deeply moved. That's what "Dore Aji" was. I ordered the fillet cutlet set meal (large serving of rice) for lunch. 1210 yen. The fillet cutlet is well-fried and has a crispy coating. The muscular body is very satisfying to eat. I also really liked the rich sauce. The shredded cabbage is fresh, and the miso soup has no unpleasant taste. There's no gap, I thought. I felt like it was a hindrance not to be able to get refills of cabbage, rice, or miso soup, but considering that you can have a tonkatsu set meal of this level for just over 1,000 yen, it can't be helped. It has become my favorite tonkatsu restaurant.

::Close to Niigata Airport. A restaurant I stopped by for lunch. I heard it was popular with the locals, so it was packed and crowded at lunchtime. The inside of the restaurant is large and has about 50 seats. It seems to be especially popular among housewives, perhaps because there are many women on staff. Even at lunchtime, I got a little excited and ordered the fillet loin cutlet set meal (1400 yen). The ground sesame seeds were prepared separately, and the pestle was also made of Kiso cypress, so it seemed like they were particular about it. The most important thing is the tonkatsu, which has a really crispy batter and light yet firm meat that you can really cut with chopsticks. The fins are also really soft. The cutlet itself is delicious, so you can be sure that you won't be disappointed with any of the other menu items. Unfortunately, there is a charge for refills. (Cabbage and pork soup 100 yen each) Large rice was also an additional 100 yen. I gave it a 4, thinking that I shouldn't assume that all tonkatsu restaurants should be free, but I wish it were that way. The taste is perfect!
