    I have been using this restaurant since August 1975, and the eel meat is just as good as it was back then. By the way, I visited here for the first time in 15 years, and the taste was still the same as before.

    I visited for lunch. I had the eel ju set meal (above). There are three slices of eel in a large bowl with a little rice. In addition, the soup and pickles cost 3,400 yen. The Tsume gave me the impression that it was salty rather than sweet. The store is along the Tagawa River. There are table seats and a small raised area, but it is the type where you can stretch your legs. You can see Tagawa from the window, and I think the scenery is very nice. I heard that they also accept various electronic money, so I thought the service was good. Apparently, the restaurant starts baking after ordering, so I think it goes smoothly if you make a reservation.

    I had some business to do in Utsunomiya and stayed there for one night. When you think of Utsunomiya, you think of gyoza. However, I really wanted to eat eel so I looked for it and found this restaurant near my hotel. The reviews are also good. When I visited around 5:30, there was no one in the store! I thought I had entered the wrong entrance, but the proprietress came out from the back. We had a reservation and were told that if we waited an hour, we would be able to eat. 1 hour of waiting inside the store. During that time, the only customers who come to the store are take-out customers who appear to be regulars. The eel that was brought to us was fluffy, had a sweet sauce, and was so delicious that we finished it in no time. Liver sucking is also flavorful! As a woman, the amount was just right for me, but men might want to have a larger portion of rice. The price was also reasonable at 3,400 yen.
