::I found this quaint building when I left the Wakayama Castle parking lot. I stopped by a coffee shop that seemed like a long-established store. The seats are on the second floor, but considering the approach stairs, the design is quite impressive. The interior is old-fashioned but modern. You can do it slowly. We could also see the castle.

::Small cafe very well located near Wakayama Castle. During cherry blossom season, it's definitely worth it. The little lady who takes care of the service is adorable. The atmosphere is very pleasant in the cafe, everything is very cute. And the prices are reasonable for a tourist place. The menu is available in English. Now, let's talk about the real subject... The cakes, in particular, the one called "rich almond" is exceptionally good. It deserves a 5 star in itself. And even when leaving the restaurant the little lady says goodbye to you through the window ❤️

::2024.3/30...The building of this store caught my eye as I got off at Wakayama IC and headed towards Wakanoura. At that moment, nostalgic feelings welled up. More than 20 years ago, when I first stayed at a business hotel in Wakayama City, I decided to take the opportunity to walk around Wakayama Castle. At that time, I found an old-fashioned cake shop and coffee shop rather than a pachiserie and cafe. Since then, I've come back three or four times to Sweets & Cafe on the evening of the night I'm staying in the city or before leaving the next morning. However, for over 10 years now (because I stayed in Tanabe City when traveling to Nanki), I haven't been able to get off the expressway and come to Wakayama City, so this store is out of my memory... I noticed that there were 2 empty spaces in the parking lot (3 spaces) on the east side of the store, and it seemed like a ``Pavlovian conditioned reflex''? , ride it as it is. Check the menu book and select the banana short that you might have eaten back then. You can also enjoy the view of Wakayama Castle right in front of you through the glass. Thank you for the treat. When I was checking out, I noticed that there was a donation box next to the cash register for rescue cat activities, so I decided to help out a little. In addition, business hours are 6:00-17:00.

::It was my first time visiting a coffee shop that I had been interested in for a while. There is also a parking lot that can be accessed from Sannenzaka Street. The store sold handmade leather accessories, and there were many cat motifs. The cake was also very delicious.

::One of few places in Wakayama to serve breakfast at 8 am.
