  I visited for the first time on July 6, 2024. Since I went to Kuji, I was thinking of having seafood, but I ended up having a shorthorn beef hamburger set meal. It was definitely delicious. It was my first time to eat mamebu soup, and it was delicious as well, with the flavor of the vegetables. If I have a chance to go next time, I would like to eat seafood next time.

  This roadside station is very close to the train station, making it easy to access even if you don't have a car. I wasn't that hungry since I had a buffet at my accommodation in the morning, so I ordered Mamebu soup and a small bowl of raw sea urchin. Both were delicious. The raw sea urchin is fresh and has no astringency. I ate it without any soy sauce. It was a pleasant shop with the staff's attentiveness.

  Eat-in restaurant located inside the roadside station Kuji. There is also a Western restaurant on the 2nd floor, but this is the one on the 1st floor that serves food mainly made with local ingredients. In other words, if you want to enjoy Sanriku's seafood, this is definitely the place to go. There are table seats and tatami seats. Since I visited during Golden Week, there was a line and the restaurant was full from the moment it opened. I had Sanriku time-killing (hitsumabushi). It was delicious. Personally, I wish the soup that came with it was a mini Mamebu soup, but I didn't. Depending on the time of year, you can also have raw sea urchin bowl, so if you're wondering where to go for lunch in this area, you can't go wrong 😋

  It is part of a roadside station. Food was delicious! I got the Fisherman's Nakegami Bowl with the Mamebu Soup as a side item. Everything was delicious and tasted fresh. We were even provided a lucky charm. There is table seating of where you do not have to take off shoes or there is seating where shoes must be taken off.
