  A very lovely rest stop with restaurants, a cafe, a teahouse, shop and an onsen (no tattoos allowed). There is also a beautiful stream that you can enjoy. This place can often be a bit crowded, making wait times for the restaurants, cafe and teahouse. If you like matcha, this is a great place to go as their matcha products are very fresh and delicious. The Kirinomori daifuku is the specialty and the hojicha soft serve is also famous.

  Amazing local dishes for extremely low prices. The patrons are friendly, the surroundings are pretty and the nearby onsen is a great before or after lunch activity. They only serve dinner if you make a reservation, which is one of only few reasons it won't get 5 stars in my book.

  Beautiful area, but a bit overcrowded when I visited.
