::Cosy, traditional Japanese hotel. The service is good and the rooms are well equipped.

::Title: A Charming Countryside Retreat with Some Winter Challenges Room Type: 1 X Cottage Family (18 m²/194 ft² | Non-smoking | 2 single beds and 5 futons). I recently stayed at Petit Hotel Gracy Tomamu from December 17 to 19, booking the Cottage Family room. Here's a detailed review of my experience: **Pros:** 1. **Complimentary Parking:** The hotel offers free parking, a welcome perk for travelers with vehicles. 2. **Rustic Charm:** The ambiance of Petit Hotel Gracy Tomamu is reminiscent of a European countryside stay, providing a unique and cozy atmosphere. 3. **Proximity to Ski Area:** Conveniently located within a short drive to the Hoshino Resorts TOMAMU ski area, making it an ideal choice for winter sports enthusiasts. **Cons:** 1. **Lack of Wi-Fi:** Surprisingly, the hotel does not provide Wi-Fi, which can be inconvenient for guests needing internet access during their stay. 2. **Cold Toilet Seat:** The absence of a toilet seat bidet and the coldness of the toilet seat during winter might be discomforting for some guests. 3. **Poor Snow Maintenance:** The hotel fell short in snow maintenance, with staff not promptly clearing thick snow in the hotel area. Guests ended up helping each other push stuck cars, highlighting a lack of service and maintenance during the winter season. 4. **Dim Lighting:** The room lacks sufficient lighting, creating a somewhat gloomy atmosphere. Additional lighting fixtures could enhance the overall experience. 5. **Limited Convenience Options:** Guests should be aware that there are no convenience shops around the area. It's advisable to purchase necessary items from nearby stores before checking in. 6. **Limited Dining Options:** The lack of restaurants in the vicinity might be inconvenient for those who prefer on-site dining options. 7. **Low Ceiling in Cottage Room:** Taller guests may find the upper layer of the Cottage room uncomfortably low, leading to potential inconveniences. 8. **Uncleared Snow on Pathways:** The presence of uncleared thick snow on pathways can make it challenging for guests to transport luggage to their rooms, affecting overall accessibility. In summary, Petit Hotel Gracy Tomamu offers a charming countryside experience with some notable drawbacks, particularly during the winter season. The lack of Wi-Fi, cold toilet seats, and poor snow maintenance are areas where improvement is needed to enhance guest satisfaction. Despite these issues, the rustic charm and proximity to the ski area might still make it a viable option for those seeking a unique winter retreat.

::Hotel Gracey/Graysee unfortunately wasn't what we expected. It was overpriced and underdelivered. With limited accommodation options left for our travels in Tomamu we now wish we paid a little extra and stayed somewhere else. We came to Tomamu to ski and picked this place for its free shuttle service. We messaged the property 3 days, 2 days and on the day we were due to arrive across multiple platforms and received no response. We ended up having to hire a car to get to the property. Our non-smoking room smelt, the beds in the loft had been used by previous guests and were unchanged, the heating was turned off leaving the room cold and the lights are off at 9 pm so you have to navigate the long corridors in the dark. The accommodation is overpriced considering they leave a bag on the door for fresh linen and you're expected to change it yourself. Unfortunately, this property, for us, put more effort into selling a 10kg bag of potatoes than they did in responding to concerns about our room. The meal provided on-site at an extra charge was tasty and you can sit around a fireplace in the dining area. However it was advertised to be all-you-can-eat and is definitely not. The room was spacious for the two of us and we had somewhere quite to lay our heads down at night which was a positive. They don't have a flexible cancellation/change of booking so be careful not to lock it in before you look somewhere else.

::It's a room for you to rest in, not the cleanest, but also not unhygienic at all. The whole place has a quaint country feel to it. For the budget conscious traveler, this is definitely a place to consider. Things to note: we did not have air con in our rooms.

::This place is terrible. Be warned that smoking is permitted in all rooms so any promise of a non-smoking room is a lie. The entirety of the place reeks to the point of nausea. The staff are skittish and unprofessional. We were told three times over the two days we were there that we needed to pay for a beer we had despite the fact that we paid for it immediately. There's somewhere better for you to stay...don't waste your time or money here.
