  A little on the pricy side considering the age of the facilities, but first rate staff and dining made for a great stay!

  Thanks to the Go to Japan campaign, we got to experience staying at this hotel. Service was superb and dinner was excellent. Breakfast was traditional morning buffet, with limited choices, so no wasted food. Onzen, was great. Overall, great stay, but maybe too expensive when the campaign is over.

  I told myself I will come back here and i did after 28 years. It's changed but it is as beautiful as ever. I love the onsen here. This was my first home away from home in 1988. Still mesmerizing and spiritual stepping in this place. Near the beautiful waterfalls Outside bath is amazing Rooms has lovely views of the flowing river with mini falls like. Club is nice for a karaoke Breakfast choice is varied and delicious. Souvenirs are pretty and not too expensive. PS. I'll add pics ove day

  I was on a day trip to the waterfall and had a feeling like I wanted to stay over one night. The hotel closest to the waterfall was booked which was fortunate for me because it allowed me to stay here instead. The staff was incredibly kind. My room was small but sufficient. I really love the public bath especially the outdoor “rotenburo” area. It’s really more of a couple of hotels so next time I will bring my wife. The food was amazing. I’m very glad I went for the dinner and breakfast option. Dinner was exquisite with lots of small dishes except expertly prepared. Seasonal and local. Breakfast was more of a buffet. Really great spread in a very nice room that seems recently re-done. The hotel is adjacent to the river so you can look out at the river when you are bathing or dining. This place is really wonderful and I appreciate the staff for being so kind to me.
