::Another okashigoten store in kokusai street. This okinawa specialty souvenir shop is everywhere around the island

::4/2024 I never knew this was here 😳 What an exciting shop! Purpose of visit was the cafe, so unfortunately didn’t have time to look around the yummy goods… But I’m sure it’s great for tourists or even locals who need treats for their non-Okinawan friends. Fancy lit-up stairs leading up to the second floor heighten your anticipation. Cafe was a nice atmosphere, quite different from below! Quiet, but we had a small business meeting here and it was the perfect place. 500 yen coffee. Robot brought our drinks ☕️ (Blend coffee wasn’t exactly my type though)… It’s kind of like a gallery too.

::Lots of souvenirs to shop. Must try the beni-imo raw tart (in the fridge). It was churchy and rich in flavour.

::Very large snack shop that offers all the purple yam snacks you can ever want and more. The prime location and large footprint will surely make this a mandatory stop for most tourists. There is a small bakery cafe on the right side of the store. They have several cakes and pies that are beautifully made plus coffee, tea, soft drinks if you need a break. Samples are of course made available to entice you to buy the snacks. You really should try before you buy, because some of the snacks look great, but the flavors are terrible. The snacks I did find appealing tend to be the citrus group rather than the yam group. To each their own.
