  Had a lovely time staying 1 night here. Be aware the hostel is located around 20min walk from the train station, which I absolutely loved because it was surrounded by beautiful forest, but if you are not a big walker or have a lot of luggage it might be a bit far. I also took a taxi from the train station and it cost 700 yen. The lady who ran it was super lovely and the place was very clean. There is an awesome shower room as well with a stone tub which I never used but it looked cool. I stayed in the mixed dorm and had a very positive experience, there are lockers to lock up your personal items but everyone I met was super nice and respectful. I chose it for the price and location and was pleasantly surprised :).

  I loved this place. It felt so homie and the staff was very accommodating. We walked there from the station and I'm so happy we did, with the scenery alone - we even saw some deers along the walk! The beds were comfy and the bath offered was a great start of the day.

  I stayed dormitory type. It was a cold day, but air conditioning system was fully operated and it was confortable. Two or three times there were mysterious laud noises during night. Because the price was very inexpensive, the quality was worth its price.

  Incredible place, to rest. If you are travelling alone, the experience is nice, I was here in winter time, and the place is so cosy, it reminds me of my grandparents house (the decoration, the fireplace…!) The owner is really nice and I’ve met many lonely travellers in the common area. The dormitory is confortable. The place is about 10min by walk from the train station, and easy to access. I do recommend !

  Really, it's more like a 4.5 than 4. My room was a good value. It has a bath with shower and small tub; a small but cold refrigerator; a huge, comfortable bed; great air conditioning. It's been a while since remodeling was done but everything is serviceable. There's a hot tub downstairs, a large common area with couches and tables, coffee, water, tea. They have a great covered porch adjacent to the common area. It's a lodge that's conducive to bringing friendly people together from all over. The prepare breakfast and dinner, if you like - good food at quite reasonable prices. There is beer, soft drinks, some mixed drinks, and snacks for sale. It's about a 20-minute walk from the train and bus station, though they have transportation a couple of times a day. Otherwise you can call a taxi. Thank you, Ken!
