  Nihon University has campuses scattered throughout the country, but it is located at the northernmost tip of the campus. Due to geographical factors, many of our students are from the Tohoku region and northern Kanto region (Gunma, Ibaraki, and Tochigi). The proportion of boarders is over 60%, which is significantly higher than in other departments at Nihon University, so there are many student apartments around the university, and the area is also home to Nihon University Tohoku High School and Teikyo Asaka High School, making it a student town. That's the atmosphere. Considering that, it is worrisome that there are few stores catering to students. Also, the nearest station is far away and there are few buses going to Koriyama Station, so it is undeniably inconvenient. There are many old buildings on the outside of the university grounds, but as you enter the campus, there are also new buildings. The fact that there is a large parking lot for students is unique to the Faculty of Engineering, which is not easily accessible. The row of cherry blossom trees that extends from the main gate has become a spring cherry blossom viewing spot for nearby residents.

In 1929 (Showa 4), it was established as a specialized department of engineering at the Nihon University College of Science and Engineering in Kanda-Surugadai, Tokyo. In 1947, the company moved from Kanda Surugadai to its current location in Koriyama City, Fukushima Prefecture. 1949 (Showa 24) Nihon University Second School of Engineering. 1966 (Showa 41) Nihon University College of Engineering. Located along the Abukuma River in Koriyama, the gateway to the Tohoku region, the school is blessed with a vast site that offers a better environment for learning than the city center. In spring, the view of the cherry blossom trees from the main gate is spectacular, and local residents come to see the cherry blossoms. About 15 minutes by bus from JR Koriyama Station. The other closest stations are Asaka Nagamori Station on the JR Tohoku Main Line and Suigun Line, but there are only a few lines and it's quite a walk. Because students come from all over the country, there are many student apartments near the school. Nihon University Tohoku High School is located on the premises. There is a bus stop and Nihon University near the main gate, and a 7-Eleven nearby.
