Located at the northern peak of Tokushima prefecture stands over a stunning view of Naruto bridge. The structure itself is old and, even if well maintained, the signs of its age are evident. Rooms are extremely tiny but well organised. The lack of a closet might be a concern for long stays which I don't reccomend. The room, however, smelled of smoke and I couldn't rest well. Also a disgusting smell of sewage came out from toilet. The hotel feature a nice hot spring room where you can relax before sleeping after a day trip between Tokushima and Awaji. The lobby feature a free drink corner where guets can enjoy juices, tea or coffee while looking at the view of naruto bridge on the bay. Naruto whirlpools can also be spotted from here and thus last point is probably what makes you forget and forgive of all other hotel's structural issues. So my pros/cons statement is: Pros: - location - Naruto bay view - price - hot spring - free drink at lobby (coffee is good) Cons: - smell of smoke - smell of sewage - lack of a closet conclusions: Unless they solve their problems, in my opinion this is a cheap alternative stay to the most expensive Awaji Island, but for no more than one night. Also I wouldn't reccomend this hotel to fresh couple or demanding customers.

This hotel was beyond my expectations. The view of the bridge from the lobby is spectacular. We enjoyed the onsen with the view of the bridge, had dinner served in our Japanese room while wearing the supplied yakatas and the following morning we were a five minutes drive to take the boat to watch the whirlpools. We had lunch in the nearby plaza with the bridge lookout. In our experience: an exceptional hotel.

Long walk to the hotel from the bus stop. Pretty inconvenient by public transport. I requested for a non-smoking room but was given a smoking room instead. They told me the hotel was full so i didnt have a choice. I have very sensitive nose and i got a bad headache from the first few minutes inside. Staff did offer to air the room but I decided to check out right away as i couldnt take it anymore. Eventually given another non-smoking room after topping up money. Room was odor-free and spacious but is so old the furnishings were rusty. My new room has an awesome view of the naruto bridge which was the only great part of my stay (though the view was better at the lobby as the wire mesh on the room’s windows did obscure the view). Heater takes forever to warm the water by the time i was nearly done showering with cold water, the hot water came on.. Long wait for the lift. No facilities nearby, eateries nearby close early. Wanted to eat at the hotel’s restaurant but female staff said it’s by-reservation only and my only option was cup noodles from the hotel’s pathetic souvenir shop. Didnt allow me to use the hot water at the lobby too- was told to go back to my room to boil my own water. Hospitality is really very meh for the price paid.

There’s private toilet within the room. From the room you get a million dollar view of the bridge, the currents and sunrise. I was travelling solo in Feb but there was either no solo package or not available at that time. They served me 2 breakfasts and 2 dinners despite me informing at checkin that I was alone. Well, at least they made sure I get what I paid for.

This is the worst room I've ever stayed in Japan, don't believe the pictures of this hotel. But the room with one bed is unimaginably small, you can hear very loud noises if you are close to the elevator, and there is no view to enjoy. The road is very hard to find, so I suggest looking for other hotels instead. The female staff was very nice and would offer to help carry the luggage, while the male staff just stood and would not even help the guest of the other one with the luggage.
