  As a foreigner receiving Japanese Hospital care, Murakami does a great job! We found out we were pregnant when we moved first moved here. I did all my prenatal care with Doctor Futaba Ashizuka. Her English is good! The rest of the staff is great too. They all try their best to communicate English, which was a great help. The birthing process is much different than in America but the staff here do a great job explaining the process and providing everything you need. The post-birth care is amazing! Murakami Hospital has great hospitality.

  The nurses and doctors are Friendly and polite and do their best to communicate in English with non Japanese speakers such as myself and my wife. The only thing I would say to avoid is the extensive ultrasound where you go to see the condition of your child/4d imaging. Wife and I went for the 4d ultrasound at around 20 weeks gestation. The quality of the ultrasound was terrible and the nurse who did the ultrasound rushed the entire process. If you are looking to do the 4d imaging I would recommend doing it in Korea as the quality is far superior and the doctors/nurses actually take their time and ask if you have any questions/answer them.

  The hospital staff were all amazing professionals from the beginning to the end of my pregnancy. i highly recommend this hospital to any pregnant women in the sasebo area. Thank you to Dr. Ashizuka and Nurse Asuka Tagawa you guys made the process very easy to understand and always reassured me when i had any questions. truly the best experience for our first child. thank you to all the nurses, doctors, cafeteria staff, sanitation staff, and all other staff that made our time easier at the hospital.

  I had the best time being a patient a Murakami Hospital. As an American, I was worried and nervous about receiving local care but the doctor and nurse I was assigned spoke English and everyone else made you feel at ease. I was seen here throughout my entire pregnancy and felt cared about. Towards the end, I stayed at inpatient care after having to receive a c-section and the recovery was amazing. I was fed yummy meals 3x a day with a snack and constantly checked on by the midwives. Everyone was very kind and accommodating. I would not mind having another baby here!

  I had an excellent experience delivering my son here. The staff is incredibly professional, kind, and caring. They love their job and take excellent care of the mothers and babies needs. They do not offer pain relief during delivery, but they work hard to help keep you calm and relaxed and encouraged through the delivery process. The facilities and equipment are clean and up to date. The meals were delicious and artfully plated, and they always made sure you had enough and enjoyed it. The private rooms for your stay were nice and comfortable with the basic amenities. Make sure you bring plenty of water for yourself though. They offer a free facial and leg/foot massage during your stay along with a special new moms five course steak brunch. There is a small kids play area in the waiting room if you need to bring your child with you to appointments. My only issue was that the wait times (like most other clinics) were very long for prenatal appointments. It was common to be there in the waiting room for 3 hours past your appointment time before seeing the doctor. Also they routinely do episiotomies, so you need to ask and remind them if you do not want to be cut.
